Three Cheers for Larry & Longboarding!

Hey everyone,

Sal from Team Funkapotamus here. Just dropped in to say we’re really excited and very grateful to be a part of this blog. Thanks for inviting us!

We’re looking forward to helping spread the stoke in whatever way we can, wherever we happen to be. Even though we’re entering the off season (aka winter) here in Chicago, we’ll still be scouting for longboard friendly parking garages and holding board building seminars to give members of the Chicago Longboard Society some insight into the process involved in making the deck under their feet. We’ve also got plans for another race along the lakeshore paths and a huge scavenger hunt around the city come spring/summer time, so if you live within commuting distance of Chicago be sure to check the Society out.

My brother and fellow Funkapotamus, Danny, also just finished cutting a new fall video that features the LBL Komodo. I’ve linked it below. Hope you like it!

Cheers!

p.s.

Larry, Laura, the new boards you posted look awesome! The new Tarpon is insanely light and the giant banana Humu is styling. hehe, I really like the Chiquita Banana-esque LBL logo, too. I can’t wait to see more media.
