The Penguin (freeride)

The Penguin is the freeride we have been working on for a few months now. It is awesome. This board locks your feet in for some killer standies.

Length 40.5″ width 10.75″ at the pockets, wheelbase 30.5″

This board has some awesome curves. 5/8″ drop into the foot pockets then backup to a nice concave.

We moved

Well the last couple of weeks have been crazy. Our old shop was rezoned and we had to move.

We found a new place in Independence it is going to be a great place but it has taken longer than I thought to get all set up.  I have been working all day and late into the night to get everything back up and running.

Once the new place is all set up I will post pictures.

Hawaiian Days

Heading to San Clemente for the Hawaiian days festival Saturday May 29th. Come by our booth. It will be a great weekend.

Pusher 2.0 dropped through

Ok so I was asked and we did a double dropped pusher. So here ya go both feel great and some thing for us to do more testing on until the newest version is done. Marshal rode the double drop and my son Laird rode the normal in a distance race in Portland on Sunday. Marshal loved it.

I really like this color.

I really like this color.

Still working on the newest updates on The Pusher current pusher 1.75″ of drop. Next one to come is 2″ of drop. Cutting the new mold this week.

Super stoked for the new mold a pusher even lower. I will post pictures when its done.

The Pusher V2.0

This is the new version of the pusher. Adam Colton and myself have been working on this new version for a few months now. It has been under wraps as we kept making changes and the tried to get it ready for Adam, Paul and Aaron trip to skate Morocco. More on that in a minute. The new pusher is going to be getting a couple more minor tweeks. When it is all done there will be two versions the standard all wood and the lighter road dampening version (you’ll have to wait on that one a bit keeping it under wraps till more testing can be done). Adam is going to be skating on something in between. So here are the pictures of the one Adam is using to skate across Morocco.

So now the stats. Length 40″, Width 9″, drop 1.75″ Wheelbase 31″   I will post up the all wood version in a couple days. May be will will have the hitch and trailer hooked up for some riding also.

If you haven’t seen the video of last years big push check it and and subscribe bcause there will be a new one every two weeks while they are on there current trip. So check it out and give these guys your support.

You can follow along with them on there trip at http://www.longtreksonskatedecks.com/ They will be doing updates and posting on google maps there locations.

Holesom

This a project I have been working on with my friend David for almost a year and a half. David called me with an idea to make a new board and wanted my help. He wanted to make a board out of bamboo and hemp and put a bunch of holes in it. Sounded like a fun challenge to me. I made the first one and it was cool, shipped it to David and he put holes in it made it look cool and rode awesome. Well to make a long story short I made a few prototypes and got the layup dialed in then put it in Davids hands to get it made in larger volumes than I can do. That lead to more changes and improvements. This is what came out of all the time and work.

Watch for this board it is awesome. Ready for sale April 20th.

Trip to Cali

In February was the ASR show in San Diego. I headed down a couple days before to hang out with my good friend Adam Colton before he left for his trip. It was awesome to hang out with Adam for a day, he took me to skate Malibu with Tai and Kyle it was fun and I had a nice whip out. I always have a blast with Adam and only lost a little skin. Before we left to skate Adam told my wife he was going to take me out and get me hurt. He always keeps his promise haha. I have seen lots of videos of Tuna and I drove and was able to watch Tai and Kyle rip it up. That is one crazy run.

The next day Adam flew to Okinawa and I met up with Don and Pablo from Loaded and we headed to San Diego for the ASR.

While at the ASR I hung out and roamed the show with Don, Pablo, Dan, Marcus and Dano (loaded crew). After the show we hung out at the Field for the Silverfishlongboarding get together.

At the silverfish get together I met up with some awesome people.

John Galac from Galac longboards.

Rich from Lush longboards

Chris Yandell

Met a bunch of other awesome people that day. Then I headed back to the parking garage with the loaded crew Don, Marcus were going to head back to L.A. and were going to drop me off at my friend Eric’s place in San Clemente. Once we got to the garage we decided to do some skating before heading out.

By the time I got to Eric’s place it was like 2 am. The next morning we headed over to Davids place for a quick ride in his new car. A killer Myers Manx.

That is one sweet ride.

We then headed to Monkey Syndicate’s office in Eric’s cool wagon.

We then headed back to the ASR. While there I met up with Linda from Tracker trucks.

Michael the man behind Concrete wave.

Mike From Honey Longboards.

That night was the premier for the Movie Drop my life down hill. Awesome movie with some great footage. While there I met Wayne from SurfRodz and we got talking about working on a project together so watch for something cool soon.

I have to give a big thanks to Malakia for offering to give me a ride that night back to San Clemente being he lives in San Diego. Thanks again.

I stayed a couple more days with my friends Eric and Brandy and we had a good time even though it rained. I was hoping to get away from the ran while i was there but o’well it was still warm.

Had a blast and met a lot of awesome people.

Night Club Ride

This years club ride was a blast and the weather was great for a night ride. It was great to see so many people out ready to ride. I hope everyone had a great time.

The event started out awesome all 64 riders started at once and no wrecks at the beginning. Everything was running smooth and I rushed back to the finish line to get ready for the first group to cross the finish line. I didn’t hear of anybody getting lost this year thanks to Cory for his great idea to put reflectors marking the course also thanks for the pictures Cory.

I also want to thank all the sponsors and all the riders that came out.

Here is the order everyone came in. we didn’t get everyone, if you aren’t listed and you know who was in front of you let me know and I will add you to the list.
