This years club ride was a blast and the weather was great for a night ride. It was great to see so many people out ready to ride. I hope everyone had a great time.
The event started out awesome all 64 riders started at once and no wrecks at the beginning. Everything was running smooth and I rushed back to the finish line to get ready for the first group to cross the finish line. I didn’t hear of anybody getting lost this year thanks to Cory for his great idea to put reflectors marking the course also thanks for the pictures Cory.
I also want to thank all the sponsors and all the riders that came out.
Here is the order everyone came in. we didn’t get everyone, if you aren’t listed and you know who was in front of you let me know and I will add you to the list.
This year there were 64 skaters on the course and Nathan completed Boone to Bush in just over 16 minutes!
Nathan won Precision trucks made by Cindrich Longboards worth $350.00, Jed won $115.00, Casey won $80.00 and Will won $60.00.
Thanks to all the sponsors, there were A LOT of prizes to give away and thanks to all who volunteered, the Club Run ran smoothly.
Larry will post a write up later that may or may not talk about how a few riders encountered a super ornery policeman or how a few of the riders got pelted with eggs by mean people in cars. It will definitely talk about how much fun it was and will include some of Corey’s photos.
Well it has been while since I posted and I am sorry about that. We have been working on the Salamander. I posting info about the Salamander a while back. we rode it abused it and sent them out to team riders to ride and give me feed back.
So we now have version 4.0 this new salamander has more camber more concave and we also added a kick in the nose.
Keep watching for more info coming soon. I think this is going to be the final version. We have been having a blast on this new flexi carving board.
This is a little teaser video of the Tarpon project i have in the works. The Skating will be better and faster for the real deal tho.Enjoy , Cole Kurtz =)Tarpon Teaser
Cole here again and decided to give a little update on how things are going here in the valley of the sun. After riding my Komodo at speeds around 40mph for quite sometime i finally got a proper board for speeds , and what could be better than an LBL Tarpon? As i am progressing as rider this board is giving me the resources to get there. We had a nice little sesh the other day and a guy was snapping some pics so i decided to post my favorites so people could see the beast in action =)
We are having a Fellowship of the bearing release party. Friday 4/17 at 9pm at my shop. We will be showing the video on a 10 foot screen. After the video we will be headed to the construction zone for some skating. I will also have the DVD for sale. This is going to be an awesome DVD and a blast to watch with a bunch of people
Just thought I would show a shot of as new board we are working on. This is a little flexy carving board that has been in the works for a while now. It has been one of those boards that we have been playing with in the shop and as we ride we come up with ways to make it better. So it has gone through a bunch of changes in shape camber, materials and color.
So here it is the Salamander. It is bamboo and fiberglass with camber concave and a small kicktail. 35″ long and 9″ wide with a 23″ wheelbase. It is the little brother to the Komodo similar shape just smaller. This is a fun little board. Keep an eye out for more info on this little guy soon.
